Let Go To Get One

How many times do we find ourselves waiting to make it official with someone that we really like or love? We all know how it is, you find the one that really catches your attention and while they may not be the most perfect person in the world, they fit you. After awhile feelings get involved, but things still never progress and you find yourself stuck in the same position time after time. You feel like you should hold on because you have developed a special bond with that person, but at the same time you feel like you'll never take it to the next level. Sound relateable?

*raises hand* I've been there more than once! This is somewhat like the "do you follow your head or your heart" question, but it's a little different. When you find yourself in this situation, it's a very tough pill to swallow and a hard place to be. When you're not in the situation it's so easy to tell someone else that they can do better, but when it's YOU you don't see it that way. I mean come on, this is someone you've spent time with and put time into, so getting over feelings is never a simple task. Trust me I get it, but you have to look at it the other way as well. Think about what all you're missing from a REAL relationship and someone who is ONLY interested in you.

I often find that we will settle for someone who isn't ready to commit just because they are someone to have around. No one likes to be lonely, and some people really feel that having someone is better than not having anyone at all. But if you only get a piece of a person, then can you really say you have anything? I don't think so. Like I said I've been in this situation more than once; I'm one of those people who find it hard to let go. But as I look back I see that I've deprived myself of potential happiness by putting myself through the stress of trying to keep someone who doesn't want to be kept. (Am I preaching or what lls)

The point of this whole post is to bring you to realization that no one is worth stressing over. If the relationship is what it should be, the stress level should be minimal anyway. And when you find yourself trying to keep someone around, you end up losing yourself in the process. Maybe you do only want that one person, but is it worth it? Who's to say that someone else won't bring you all the happiness and love you've been wanting? When we stop searching for and trying to hold on to love, it finds us at the most unexpected times. Gucci said it best "Girl's are like buses, miss one next 15 one coming" lol... there's so many other fish in the sea! While you may be sure about someone, if they're not sure about you then you're fighting a worthless battle!

Do you guys agree that it's better to let go and let love find you, rather than to hold on to someone who is unsure about you? Let us know :)

XOXO,

  2. i agree with what you said, also to add on to it sometimes the timing isnt right. alot of people tend to rush into things before truly developing that strong friendship bond. You know how one person catches feelings before the other, that doesnt necessarily mean its doomed for failure...just need to have some patience...but then when is the wait too long...lol love is so complex

  3. That is true! The worst thing you can do in a relationship is rush into it. I don't think there's a definite time frame of waiting too long, it's just something that you feel. After waiting for someone for so long your feelings kind of start to change, and you start questioning the authenticity of the relationship more

  5. You can't really put a definite time frame on feelings, I guess it depends on the situation. But the longest I've done is a year. But it was way before that year was up that I started getting in my feelings. And sad to say if something hadn't happened to make me open my eyes, it could have been longer.
