My Natural Transition Pt 2

Good news! I'm still going relaxer free believe it or not lol, hell I don't even believe it myself. I told ya'll about my experience of going natural last year O_o #epicfail lol. This time around I'm really serious about it, and I hope and pray I don't give in!

Someone asked me a few days ago what the point was in going natural, and I honestly couldn't give them a straight up answer. I sat and thought about the REAL reasons behind me going natural, and I must say it sounds just like something I would say lol. I guess you could say I'm choosing to go natural to "go against the grain". So many people have it in their head that women are supposed to have straight, long and flowing hair and everyone knows that silk wraps are the thing now.

Well I've literally been getting silk wraps since I first started high school, and I'm honestly just tired. I'm tired of fighting with my hair and putting chemicals in it to get it to stay straight, so why do it? I guess you could say I want to be different in every way, and this is a start. Plus I have the type of hair that works with going natural because it's thick and wavy. It's going to be thick regardless of if I get relaxers or not, so why not try something different?

Anyway, I apologize for the rant lol but I wanted to post a few more pics of how I've been working with my hair. Remember I got a rod set a little over a week ago? Well I haven't taken it out yet, I've just been playing that up with different looks. You can check out the pics below, and let me know what you think! Is anyone ready to join me yet?? :)

XOXO,
LaBellaBoss ♥

My rods after they fell

I just put the top up and put a clip in it and left the back down

Here I just pinned up up with bobby pins to the side
and pinned up a hump in the front.

This is the same as before, just a different view

Here I just put did a side braid and pulled my hair back
in a side ponytail. I pinned up the ponytail with bobby pins.

This is the same as above, just a different view.

  1. I like it Shants and if you're happy with going natural that's all that really matters. Sometimes we don't know why we wanna do certain things but if it makes us happy I say go for it.

  2. Thanks I appreciate that! And you're absolutely right, sometimes I do things without specific reason, but because it feels right. Always go with your gut :)
